 Today
Marrakech is no longer the capital of Morocco, a status it lost to Rabat.
Yet, in some ways it retains its 'capital' feel, as thousands of tourists
flock there year after year, turning the quiet, decrepit city Leo had
experienced into the 'tourism capital of Morocco'. For many non-Moroccans,
Marrakech is Morocco and vice versa. Which is a shame, as there is much
more to Morocco than Marrakech, and much more to Marrakech than tourism.

a glimpse of the city's many maddnesses and many riches, follow me in
this tiny taxi (witness above the rather crowded feel one can experience
from within the taxi) through the streets of Marrakech....
